Engineering Manager, Software and Imaging - Stockholm

Are you a people-focused engineering leader who wants to help shape a growing R&D site? We are looking for an Engineering Manager within software and imaging to our R&D office in Stockholm, where you will lead a team developing the next generation of network video products.

We are now expanding our Stockholm team and looking for an Engineering Manager within software and imaging . You and your team will be part of the Multichannel Products department (MCP), focusing on the development of new network video products.

Who is your future team?

The Multichannel Products department is part of the Extended Video Products organization within R&D, and develops new video products from idea to mass production.

You will lead a team of seven colleagues to start with - and the team will grow - including software engineers and product imaging engineers working with embedded development and optical solutions for our products. They work in close collaboration with a range of competence areas such as electronics, mechanics, quality assurance, industrial design, production tests, industrialization and regulatory approvals.

Around you in the department you will also find technical leads, project managers and line managers, as well as industrial leads, production test engineers, sourcing engineers and quality engineers. Our goal is to run highly efficient product development projects and deliver high-quality products that strengthen Axis' market-leading position.

What you'll do here as Engineering Manager

You will lead a multidisciplinary team working with product development ranging all the way from idea, through conceptual design, execution phase, industrialization and finally handover to volume production. As our Stockholm site is still growing, you will not only lead the work - you will help shape how it is done.

Take responsibility, together with your team, for developing Multichannel Products from idea to production

Grow your team's competence and capability, always ensuring people have real opportunities to develop their skills, experience and careers

Collaborate with product managers, project leaders and other internal and external stakeholders on priorities, expectations and requirements

Engage with the leadership team to set and execute the strategic direction of the department

Take responsibility for the technical roadmap and requirements connected with your team's work related to optics, imaging and firmware development

Create clarity for your team in an evolving environment

Who are you?

You lead from a people perspective - coaching, giving feedback, identifying development needs and following up. You see the power of a team where people bring different perspectives and experiences.

As a manager at a growing site, you are comfortable when things are not yet fully defined. The role is highly collaborative, so you communicate clearly with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders inside and outside the organization, and you actively contribute to a good team spirit.

We see that you have experience of leading people within product development. You have an engineering degree in relevant field and experience from embedded software, optical engineering, imaging or another relevant technical discipline.

Professional working proficiency in Swedish and English, spoken and written, is required for this role.
