We are now looking for a dedicated Property Underwriter to join our Energy, Property and Construction team. Based in Stockholm, this offers an exciting opportunity to manage and develop our property portfolio across Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland. What you'll be doing

As Property Underwriter, you will play a vital role in assessing, underwriting, and managing complex property risks in the Nordics. Your expertise will help shape our product offerings, support regional growth, and strengthen our market position. Working collaboratively with regional teams, you will contribute to the strategic development of our Nordic property business.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

• Underwriting, managing, and developing the Nordic Property portfolio, including large and complex risks.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders to foster trust and long-term partnerships.
• Developing innovative underwriting solutions aligned with regional market needs and AXA XL's standards.
• Managing policy wordings and coverage terms to ensure clarity, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
• Supporting the development of new products and market strategies to enhance our property offering.
• Collaborating closely with regional and global teams to ensure consistent underwriting practices and share best practices.
• Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes relevant to property underwriting in the Nordics.
• Contributing to the training and development of local underwriting teams and brokers.

Our team
You'll be a vital part of the AXA XL Nordic Property, Energy and Construction team, consisting of 8 Underwriters within the different areas, reporting to the Property, Energy, Construction Manager Nordics.

What you'll bring

We are looking for someone with these skills and abilities:

• Extensive experience in Property Underwriting or related roles such as broking, ideally within the Nordic or broader international markets.
• Proven track record of underwriting complex property risks and developing tailored solutions.
• Excellent understanding of the Nordic property market, including regulatory and client-specific considerations.
• Experience with policy wording, coverage negotiations, and client engagement.
• University degree in finance, insurance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Excellent communication skills in English and at least one Nordic language (Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, or Finnish). Knowledge of additional languages (e.g., German, French) is a plus.
• Analytical mindset with robust decision-making skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment and independently when needed.
• Passion for innovation, problem-solving, and driving business growth.
• Relevant professional qualifications or certifications in insurance or underwriting are a plus.
• Good IT user skills, with digital and AI competence
