About this opportunity:
Quantum-based solutions hold substantial potential in addressing the complexity of large-scale network management that classical optimization alone may struggle to resolve. Leveraging quantum algorithms to optimize coordination among distributed agents holds promise to enhance resource allocation, cell coordination, and mobility management, thereby improving scalability and adaptability in dynamic network environments.
What you will do:
This master thesis project aims at telco-specific optimization using quantum computing algorithms.
The following steps are envisioned as part of the thesis work:
The skills you bring:
• MSc Student in Computer Science, Engineering Physics, Machine Learning, Mathematics.
• Proficient in Probability Theory, Neural Networks, System Modeling, quantum computing.
• Understanding of quantum computers (superconducting, neutral atoms trapped ion) and
software stacks (QISKIT, Cuda-Q, Pennylane, etc.)
• Good programing skills are required, knowledge of C++, Python.
Additional Details
The work is expected to start in Jan 2027. The work is proposed for 1 student for a duration of 6 months. Location is at Ericsson Research in Stockholm (Kista), Sweden.
