Modern software development relies heavily on automated testing at various levels such unit, integration, and system. In many large-scale projects, vast amounts of test data are collected continuously through CI/CD pipelines and stored in cloud storage systems like Amazon S3. However, most of this data remains underutilized, especially in helping stakeholders like testers, developers, test managers, and system test engineers understand, analyze, and improve test outcomes. With the rapid advancement in Large Language Models (LLMs) (e.g., ChatGPT, LLaMA, Falcon), there is now an opportunity to create AI-powered assistants that can ingest and reason over this data to support:

The goal of this thesis is to design and prototype an AI-powered assistant using stored test data and LLMs to support test related stakeholders in large-scale systems. The assistant should enable natural interactions (via chat or dashboard) and answer queries such as:

The goal of this thesis is to design and prototype an AI-powered assistant using stored test data and LLMs to support test related stakeholders in large-scale systems. The assistant should enable natural interactions (via chat or dashboard) and answer queries such as:
- Why did this test fail last week?
- Which test cases are most unstable?
- What are common reasons for integration test failures?
- Summarize failures from the last 3 builds.
The skills you bring:
- Master's student in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering or similar.
- Proficiency in AI, machine learning, and LLMs
