A Line Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing employees. He or she supervise and evaluate employee contribution, performance, and development and is the first point of contact for their direct reports. A Line Manager also act as a link to assist communication between senior leaders, HR, and employees. He or she works closely with other people managers to develop and implement strategies to improve team performance and achieve business goals.

Are you passionate about leading people and helping them grow and develop in the technology space? We're looking for a Line Manager to support our Database Services team, which designs, implements, and maintains databases across test and production environments. This is a one-year maternity leave cover with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

The role sits within our Infrastructure Platform organisation, which supports databases, platform orchestration, automation, infrastructure optimisation, networks, and messaging tools. We work in a fast-paced, agile environment with a strong focus on quality, timely delivery, and compliance.

The Infrastructure line organisation partners with our Product Teams. As Line Manager, you will support engineers, foster a positive team culture, and create the conditions for individuals and teams to succeed. You will also build a strong, collaborative partnership with the Database Product Manager.

You will lead around 10 engineers in the Database Services team and work closely with engineers, Line Managers, and Product Managers across the organisation.
