We are looking for a Tender Manager / Project Manager with a few years of relevant experience who wants to take an active role in supporting EU and NATO-related initiatives within Saab Dynamics.
The position is primarily based in Solna. For the right candidate, another Saab Dynamics location in Sweden may also be considered.
As Saab Dynamics operates across several locations in Sweden and the role involves collaboration with European and NATO partners, travel will be a natural part of the position, both within Sweden and internationally.
Your Role
You will join our newly established NATO/EU Affairs team and work closely with the Head of NATO/EU Affairs at Saab Dynamics. In this hands-on role, you will support our Business Units in assessing and pursuing relevant opportunities, from early opportunity assessment through capture and proposal activities.
As part of a new team, you will also help us build the processes, tools, templates and ways of working needed to support our Business Units effectively. This is an opportunity to combine day-to-day execution with helping develop a new capability within Saab Dynamics.
In short, you will help our Business Units turn EU and NATO opportunities into structured capture and bid activities, while helping us build the tools and ways of working needed to support them.
Your Responsibilities
Support Business Units in assessing and pursuing relevant EU and NATO opportunities.
Coordinate capture and bid activities from early opportunity assessment through proposal submission.
Develop and maintain capture plans, stakeholder maps, action plans, proposal timelines and other supporting material.
Contribute to building the NATO/EU team's processes, tools, templates and ways of working.
Develop practical tools and guidance to help Business Units navigate EU and NATO opportunities.
Capture feedback and lessons learned to continuously improve how the team supports the Business Units.
Prepare decision material and recommendations for senior stakeholders regarding bid participation.
Help ensure compliance with applicable EU and NATO funding, reporting and audit requirements.
Build strong working relationships across Saab and with relevant external stakeholders.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone who is structured, proactive and collaborative. You enjoy creating clarity in complex situations, taking ownership of activities and driving them forward.
You combine analytical thinking with a practical, hands-on approach and are comfortable working in an environment where not everything is already defined. You enjoy creating structures, developing new tools and improving ways of working, and you are motivated by the opportunity to help build a new team and capability.
You are self-driven and comfortable working independently, while understanding that success in this role depends on close collaboration with our Business Units and other stakeholders.
We believe you have:
A few years of relevant experience in tender management, bid management, capture management, project management or a similar coordinating role.
Experience working with multiple stakeholders, preferably in an international environment.
An interest in, and preferably some understanding of, the defence sector, military customer requirements and European defence cooperation.
An understanding of, or strong interest in learning about, EU and NATO funding and cooperation programmes within defence and security.
Strong communication and analytical skills, combined with a structured approach to planning and follow-up.
Fluency in English, both spoken and written. Swedish is considered an advantage.
Experience with EU, NATO-funded programmes or similar international initiatives is considered an advantage but is not a requirement.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
