The Opportunity
As a Senior Data Scientist/AI Engineer focused on Generative AI, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and deploying AI applications that redefine how AI is leveraged in financial services. Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, deploy, and monitor production-ready AI applications that deliver measurable business value.
- Develop and implement evaluation frameworks to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of AI models.
- Create and refine tooling, architecture, and best practices for generative AI, setting the standard for the team and organisation.
- Document AI models, processes, and workflows to meet regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Identify and prototype innovative generative AI use cases, turning ideas into tangible solutions.
- Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to teammates, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
- A Master's degree or PhD in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or Artificial Intelligence.
- Proven expertise in generative AI, large language models (LLMs), and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
- Strong proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks and LLM APIs.
- Experience designing and implementing agentic systems, structured testing, and model evaluation methodologies.
- A solid background in machine learning, experimentation, and systems design.
- Ability to work in a regulated environment, with a focus on compliance, risk management, and documentation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative setting.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools for model deployment and monitoring.
- Prior work in the financial services or fintech sector, particularly in areas requiring compliance and risk awareness.
