Why This Role?

You will guide architectural design and innovation within AstraZeneca's Quality Assurance and Quality Control areas globally (30+ Sites). Driven by a passion for enhancing Digital Laboratory and Manufacturing, your efforts will support moving us towards our 'Lab of the Future' ambitions that will make a positive impact on the patients our medicines treat. Collaborating closely with fellow architects and tech. professionals, you will help navigate the digital transformation of our operations, making a meaningful contribution to significant projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and govern solutions within AstraZeneca's strategic IT landscape to support progressive business projects.

• Collaborate across multi-functional teams, encouraging relationships that ensure a secure and compliant environment.

• Define the roadmap for our future landscape and encourage meaningful change by bringing fresh ideas and approaches.

Essential Skills/Experience:

• Deep knowledge and experience in thoughtfully developing and maintaining business solution architectures within established frameworks.

• Exceptional ability to influence and communicate, particularly between business and IT, along with a supportive approach to vendor management.

• Experienced in thoughtfully advising diverse, multi-functional teams and gently guiding product evaluations and business case developments.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

• Highly proactive with a customer-centred mindset, welcoming and valuing cross-cultural perspectives.

• Background in nurturing talent and providing mentorship.

• Familiar with a range of laboratory platforms and technologies, including Chromatography Data Systems, Laboratory Information Systems, and AI/ML.

• Architecture certifications like TOGAF and foundation in cyber security.

• Understanding of trends in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry.
