Beskrivning

Learn to operate and develop one of Sweden's most unusual experimental process environments.

At GREEN14, we operate a full-scale plasma reactor in Stockholm and develop new processes for high-temperature metallurgy and advanced materials.

We are looking for a Junior Process Technician to join the team running our experiments.

You do not need years of experience. In fact, this could be your first job after university.

What matters is that you are practical, curious and genuinely interested in understanding how things work.

THE ROLE

This is a hands-on job.

You will work directly with our plasma reactor and experimental equipment. Together with our process engineers, you will prepare experiments, operate equipment, handle materials and make sure the reactor is ready for the next run.

One day you might install a plasma torch or cyclone. The next you could open and clean the reactor, prepare metal powder, replace components or help investigate why an experiment behaved differently than expected.

You will learn how the complete process works - from gas and powder feeding to plasma, reactor conditions, cooling and powder collection.

Typical responsibilities include:
  • Preparing the reactor for experiments.
  • Opening, cleaning and rebuilding process equipment.
  • Installing and changing plasma equipment, cyclones, piping and other components.
  • Handling, weighing and preparing metal powders and samples.
  • Supporting operation of plasma, vacuum, gas and powder-feeding systems.
  • Recording experimental conditions and observations.
  • Following and improving safety and operating procedures.
  • Helping troubleshoot equipment and process problems.
  • Supporting our engineers during experiments and process development.

WHO YOU ARE

You may be at the beginning of your career.

A degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, process technology or a related field would be excellent, but practical ability and curiosity matter just as much.

You like understanding how things work.

If something does not behave as expected, you want to know why.

You are comfortable getting your hands dirty, taking equipment apart and learning how to put it back together correctly.

At the same time, you are interested in the science behind the process. Why did more powder stick to the reactor wall? What changed when we adjusted the gas flow? Why did the material behave differently this time?

We want someone who will gradually become more than the person operating the equipment.

We want you to become a knowledgeable part of the process team - someone who understands the reactor, asks good questions and contributes ideas.

You do not need to know plasma technology today. We will teach you.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • A practical and hands-on mindset.
  • Strong curiosity about technology, chemistry and physical processes.
  • Attention to detail and respect for safety.
  • Willingness to learn new equipment and procedures.
  • Ability to work closely with engineers and scientists.
  • Comfortable working in English.

Experience from a laboratory, workshop, pilot plant or industrial environment is useful, but not required.

WHY GREEN14

GREEN14 started five years ago with a mission to develop emission-free production of critical raw materials using hydrogen plasma.

Today, we combine real experiments with materials science, multiphysics simulation and AI to develop new high-temperature processes.

Here, you will not be far away from the technology.

The reactor is downstairs.

You will work next to the engineers and scientists designing the experiments, see the results and gradually build a deep understanding of how the process works.

For the right person, this role can develop significantly as your knowledge and responsibility grow.

HOW WE WORK

We are a small, international team of engineers and scientists. We are curious, direct and serious about getting things right.

There is very little hierarchy. Good ideas matter more than titles, and asking questions is encouraged.

We work hard, but flexibly, and value having a life outside work.

THE PRACTICAL STUFF

The position is based in Stockholm at Sweden's leading technical university, close to central Stockholm.

Compensation consists of salary and pension together with qualified employee stock options.

If you are curious about chemistry and technology, like working with your hands and want to learn how a full-scale plasma reactor actually works, we would like to hear from you.

The position will remain open until we find the right person.
