Tyréns Group are strengthening Group IT across Sweden, the UK and Central Europe into one organisation serving the whole business. We are now looking for an IT Category and Vendor Manager to strengthen the commercial management of the Group's IT supplier landscape and external IT spend.
This is an opportunity to shape an important capability within Group IT at a time when stronger commercial structure and supplier governance matter. You will join a knowledge-driven organisation with experienced colleagues, a collaborative culture and a long-term perspective.
About the role
This is a strategic yet operational role within Group IT. The role is placed in Group IT with a dotted line to Procurement. You will own the IT category agenda and work closely with Procurement, Software Asset Management, Finance and IT leadership to ensure that major renewals, sourcing activities and supplier relationships are well prepared, well governed and aligned with business needs.
We are looking for someone who can combine commercial judgement with technology understanding and work closely with stakeholders across Group IT, Procurement and the wider business. You will help create a more proactive and value-driven approach to vendor management, renewals and category planning across software, hardware, communication services and selected IT services. The role is expected to combine Vendor Management and Category Management in roughly equal measure, around 50/50, although the balance may vary over time based on business priorities.

Key responsibilities
- Category strategy: Define and drive a Group-wide approach to the IT category, including category planning, supplier segmentation, renewal planning and commercial priorities
- Vendor management: Lead strategic vendor governance for key IT suppliers, including performance follow-up, escalation handling, roadmap dialogue and commercial development
- Renewals and sourcing: Lead the commercial preparation for major renewals and sourcing activities, including demand challenge, negotiation strategy, stakeholder alignment and business case support, in close cooperation with Procurement
- Commercial optimization: Identify opportunities for better commercial terms, consolidation, standardisation and improved value from the Group's external IT spend
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Procurement, Software Asset Management and IT Controlling through a structured procurement forum and through day-to-day collaboration
- Decision support: Use insights from software asset management, spend analysis, budget follow-up and business demand to support sourcing priorities and supplier decisions
- Governance and risk: Ensure that supplier and contract decisions support IT strategy, security, compliance, service continuity and long-term value creation

Your background
- Experience: Strong experience from IT sourcing, vendor management, technology procurement, software licensing or a closely related area
- Commercial capability: Proven experience of leading or supporting larger renewals, supplier negotiations, contract discussions or sourcing activities within IT
- Cross-functional working: Experience of working closely with Procurement, Finance, IT and business stakeholders in a structured way
- Supplier knowledge: Good understanding of enterprise software, SaaS, cloud and the broader IT vendor landscape
- International context: Experience from a complex organisation operating across multiple countries, business areas or governance structures is an advantage. You are comfortable operating in English in an international setting and fluent in Swedish, as much of the role's stakeholder interaction is in Sweden

- Structure and pragmatism: You bring order without creating unnecessary bureaucracy, and you know how to turn broad intent into clear priorities, workable plans and follow-through
- Technology understanding: You understand the IT supplier landscape and can discuss software, SaaS, cloud, telecom and broader IT services with specialists and stakeholders alike. You do not need to be the deepest technical expert in the room, but you do need the credibility to work confidently across the area
- Collaboration: You build trust, listen well and make good use of the expertise around you. You are comfortable working across organisational boundaries, cultures and time zones
- Influence: You are able to work through relationships rather than formal authority alone and can align stakeholders around commercial priorities and decisions
