Beskrivning

Scania is undergoing a transformation from being a leading supplier of trucks, buses, and engines to providing complete and sustainable transport solutions. Together with TRATON and our sister brands MAN, Volkswagen Truck & Bus, and International, we are working to shape the future of mobility with innovative and environmentally conscious solutions.

Our values - customer first, respect, team spirit, responsibility, and elimination of waste - are at the heart of everything we do. Together, we are at the forefront of creating a sustainable future.

Role Summary

Scania Group Security is evolving towards a more globally integrated, intelligence-led and capability-based security function. We are looking for a Global Lead - Protective Security & Threat Management to shape, lead and continuously develop this capability across Scania.

Combining protective security, threat management and security risk intelligence, you will translate emerging threats and business risks into proportionate, risk-based protection of Scania's people, critical assets and operations. With a global functional mandate, you will set direction, develop standards and methodologies, strengthen our global security network and provide expert advice to business and senior management.

This is an opportunity to shape the next generation of Protective Security at one of the world's leading commercial vehicle manufacturers.

Job Responsibilities

As Global Lead - Protective Security & Threat Management, you will:

  • Lead and continuously develop Scania's global Protective Security & Threat Management capability, including governance, standards, methodologies, competence and assurance.
  • Lead threat and security risk assessments, translating intelligence, vulnerabilities and business impact into actionable recommendations, decision support and proportionate protective measures.
  • Develop protection strategies for people, critical assets, sites and operations, including risk-based protection levels, security-by-design and requirements for security-sensitive activities.
  • Functionally lead and strengthen Scania's global security network, providing direction, expertise and guidance to security managers, coordinators, business functions and senior management.
  • Drive capability maturity and continuous improvement, using assurance, lessons learned and performance measures to prioritise improvements and security investments.
  • Represent Scania in relevant security cooperation with authorities, security and intelligence services and trusted external partners, and provide senior specialist support during major incidents, crises and heightened threat situations.

Who You Are

You are a senior security professional who combines deep expertise in protective security and threat management with strong analytical judgement and a clear understanding of how security enables business. You are comfortable moving between strategic threat assessment, senior management advice and the practical requirements needed to protect people, critical assets and operations.

Ideally, your experience combines both the private and public sectors - including a senior security role in a large international organisation and several years within government, defence, law enforcement or the security and intelligence community, preferably within military and/or police security intelligence.

You bring:

  • Extensive experience in protective security, threat assessment, threat management and security risk management, with a proven ability to translate intelligence into actionable business recommendations.
  • Strong international corporate security experience, combined with relevant public-sector security or intelligence experience.
  • Strong business understanding and risk-based judgement, enabling you to balance security requirements with operational and commercial needs.
  • Proven ability to build and lead capabilities, standards and methodologies across organisational and geographical boundaries, including through influence rather than direct line authority.
  • Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the credibility and judgement to advise and appropriately challenge senior management on complex and sensitive security matters.
  • A relevant academic degree or equivalent professional education and experience is expected. Advanced education or certification within protective security, intelligence analysis, security risk management or related fields is considered an advantage

This Is Us

Group Security enables Scania to operate securely and resiliently in an increasingly complex global environment. We combine global expertise with strong local execution to anticipate threats, protect what matters most and strengthen Scania's resilience. We are evolving from individual security disciplines towards globally led capabilities that provide expertise, intelligence and decision support to our business and leadership. Our ambition is clear: to enable informed decisions, secure operations and sustainable business performance.

Scania Offers

We offer a dynamic and engaging workplace where collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement are part of everyday life. You will be part of a strong team environment that encourages knowledge sharing and close cooperation across functions.

With a structured development plan and a wide range of training opportunities, Scania supports your professional growth both locally and internationally.

Benefits include access to our health center in Gröndal or a wellness allowance, result bonus, flexible working hours, and company car leasing. Scania also arranges events for employees and their families, and for those living in Stockholm, convenient commuting is supported through direct Scania Job express buses to Södertälje.
