As aDevelopment Engineer Mechatronics, you'll be responsible for carrying out work within the field of Mechatronics in the Counter Balanced (CB) division. Your contributions will ensure development work is based on customer needs, legislation, and internal requirements according to business strategies.
In this role you will report to the Engineering Manager, Control Systems and the location is Ljungby, Sweden.

As aDevelopment Engineer Mechatronics, you'll be responsible for carrying out work within the field of Mechatronics in the Counter Balanced (CB) division. In this role you will report to the Engineering Manager, Control Systems and the location is Ljungby, Sweden.
What are your key responsibilities:
- Component and System Development: Develop components and systems, author software specifications, develop control algorithms, and define electrical system requirements.
- Project Leadership: Lead and coordinate assigned work with partners, consultants, and suppliers to ensure that technical customer demands, product safety, and legislation are met.
- Cross-Functional Cooperation: Ensure cooperation between the team function, Sourcing, and Operation, and establish technical requirements with PSE and Chief Engineers.
- Testing and Validation: Define test plans, follow up and ensure testing targets are met and evaluate outcomes where a need has been identified.
- Relationship Management: Coordinate component and system design between products, regularly report to your Line Manager, and perform customer and supplier visits.

- Qualifications: B.Sc or M.Sc. degree within a relevant field or similar knowledge gained through experience, and fluency in English, both spoken and written.
- Technical Expertise: Technical knowledge regarding off road machinery or similar heavy equipment supported by hands-on experience in product development activities.
- Engineering Tools: Knowledge of visual programming, Kalmar uses Danfoss Plus+1 Guide, paired with strong analytical and structural abilities.
- Customer Focus: A strong business and market mindset with a clear focus on fulfilling customer needs.
- Proactive Problem Solver: You are a driving force who is results-oriented, possesses a positive attitude, and utilizes strong communication and collaboration skills to solve problems effectively.
