Credit Analyst - Wholesale Credit Management

Wholesale Credit Risk Management is a second-line function that is integral to our strategic approach. We support the first-line team with credit risk frameworks and oversight, as well as with the structuring and decision-making of large or complex transactions and the setting of exposure appetite for clients in scope.
For our Credit FI team in Wholesale Credit Risk Management, we are seeking a highly skilled professional who is passionate about developing pioneering risk management solutions across a broad range of institutional segments.
Credit FI is an experienced and focused team working with all types of financial institutions and selected public institutions. The fundamentals and inherent risks of the global financial infrastructure, as well as the counterparty credit risk arising from trading activities across all types of financial products, play a pivotal role in our team.
Danske Bank’s Forward ’28 strategy is highly focused on growing the business within institutional segments, including the creation of new customised products and solutions for many clients in this area. Your current role or background could be within a similar function, either in Danske Bank or another financial institution, or you may have gained relevant product knowledge and experience with institutional clients from a position on a trading floor. Relevant experience of several years is required for the Senior Analyst position. Alternatively, you could also be an early-career candidate with one or two years of experience in a financial institution, gained either after your graduation or while you studied.

Our team is based at Danske Bank’s head office in Copenhagen, with credit responsibility for institutional segments across the Danske Bank franchise. Ideally, our new colleague will also be based in Copenhagen, although a location at another main Danske Bank hub may also be considered.
You will:

• Make informed credit decisions in line with regulatory requirements and internal policies
• Apply your market insight to identify trends, understand customer needs and support tailored financial solutions
• Help strengthen Danske Bank’s position as an internal centre of excellence for institutional risk management
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of risk management frameworks for financial institutions and selected public institutions
• Assess risk at both individual client level and portfolio level
• Collaborate closely with key stakeholders across the three lines of defence, including Institutional Banking, Markets, Transaction Banking and Group Treasury

• You have strong analytical skills and strategic foresight, enabling you to support impactful financial decisions
• You are an innovative thinker with the ability to develop and implement financial frameworks that meet specific customer needs
• You understand the inherent risks of being part of the global financial infrastructure, including trading and investing in financial products
• You can translate markets expertise into relevant financing solutions
• You are a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence stakeholders across the organisation
• You have solid experience in credit management, including complex credit structures and financial, business and performance risks within institutional client segments

We offer:
This position can be located in Denmark, Norway, Finland, Sweden and Lithuania. If you are hired in Lithuania, the applicable salary range will be from 3920 EUR to 5880 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
