Chief Credit Analyst - Wholesale Credit Management

Wholesale Credit Risk Management is a 2nd line function at the heart of Danske Bank’s strategy. We partner with the 1st line to design and maintain robust credit risk frameworks, provide oversight and support the structuring and decision-making on large, complex transactions.
Our team supports large real estate companies across the Group’s markets, applying consistent credit standards and delivering tailored solutions across a wide variety of financing needs, including structured and event-driven transactions.
Key responsibilities

• Strategic collaboration: You will work closely with the 1st line team to structure and navigate large, complex transactions that balance risk and reward and meet the financing needs of large real estate customers
• Frameworks and continuous improvement: Design and enhance credit risk frameworks, processes and systems for large real estate financing, using strong conceptual thinking, sound judgement and practical execution and ensure they remain effective as markets, regulation and customer needs evolve
• Decision-making effectiveness: Apply your expertise to make well-informed recommendations and decisions on high-stakes transactions, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and internal policies while enabling commercially sound and bespoke financing structures
• Market insight and adaptation: Stay ahead of industry trends and customer needs, using insights to develop bespoke financing solutions and risk approaches that differentiate the bank

Your profile
We are looking for someone with solid communication and interpersonal skills to promote collaboration and guide stakeholders across the organization, including senior management and product specialists. You have solid analytical skills paired with strategic foresight, enabling you to drive impactful credit decisions. You are comfortable taking ownership of cases, challenging constructively and engaging directly with senior stakeholders.
You have:

• 5-10 years’ experience within similar functions at a bank, another financial institution or related organisation
• Demonstrated experience in managing complex credit structures and a deep understanding of the nuances of real estate finance
• Experience with financing and advising large real estate companies and a solid understanding and ability to translate commercial needs into sustainable financing solutions
• The ability to design and implement pragmatic credit risk frameworks and financing structures that address complex corporate needs, including multi-bank, syndicated and structured solutions
