Description

The Vehicle Test and Verification Engineer focuses on the complete verification process within Complete Level test objects (HILs, VILs, and Boxcars), primarily for the HMI, Body, and Core vehicle domains. This role is responsible for end-to-end test development, rigorous execution, in-depth analysis, and comprehensive defect management to validate software baselines.

Requirements

Proven experience in test case design, execution, and automotive software Verification & Validation (V&V).
Strong analytical skills for fault-tracing and triage in complex vehicle environments (HMI, Body, and Core systems).
Ability to support and drive test automation activities.
Familiarity with automotive testing toolchains, including VIRA/Jira workflows.
Experience operating Complete Level test objects (HILs, VILs, Boxcars).

Job responsibilities

Test Development & Design: Design and develop test cases for complete-level environments (HIL, VIL, Boxcar, and Cars).
Test Execution & Operation: Operate and support the test environment during test case execution, enabling CSIV testing.
Test Analysis & Triage: Analyze test results and perform Triage activities to identify, categorize, and document root causes of failures.
Defect Management: Handshake of Fault Reports to the appropriate stakeholders and monitoring resolution.
Test Nursing: Maintain, update, and ensure long-term stability of Test System Tests (TST) and existing test cases.
Stakeholder Support: Support stakeholders who will develop and automate TST and assist testers in creating test cases.
Ad-hoc Support: Provide support for other rig capabilities (Propulsion, Steering, Suspension, Brakes, and AD/ADAS) as defined in governance meetings.
