Are you passionate about vehicle testing, electrification, and energy efficiency? We are looking for a Test Engineer specializing in Quiescent Current (QC) Measurements to support the development and verification of next-generation vehicles within the Thermal & Energy Management domain.
In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring that vehicle electrical systems meet energy consumption targets and function reliably throughout all vehicle states.
Responsibilities
As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and analyzing quiescent current measurements and related validation activities. Working closely with system engineers, software developers, and integration teams, you will help identify, investigate, and resolve issues impacting vehicle energy performance.
Your responsibilities will include:
Plan, prepare, and execute quiescent current measurements on complete vehicles and subsystems.
Verify functionality and performance of Thermal & Energy Management systems.
Analyze measurement data and identify sources of excessive energy consumption.
Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting of electrical and electronic systems.
Work with CAN, LIN, Ethernet, and other vehicle communication networks during testing activities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve vehicle-level issues.
Develop, maintain, and improve test methods, test cases, and verification procedures.
Document test results and provide clear technical reports and recommendations.
Support validation activities in laboratory, workshop, and vehicle environments.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in testing and validation of automotive electrical and electronic systems.
Good understanding of vehicle electrical architecture and energy management principles.
Experience using measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, data loggers, and current measurement systems.
Knowledge of CAN-based tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, CANape, or similar.
Experience with data analysis and problem-solving in complex technical environments.
Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Quiescent Current Measurements, Battery Drain Analysis, or Energy Consumption Verification.
Experience within Thermal Management systems or vehicle climate functions.
Knowledge of battery systems, charging systems, and electrified vehicles.
Experience with test automation and scripting languages such as Python.
Familiarity with vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting methodologies.
Experience working in automotive development projects.
