As a student ambassador, you will present life as an international student in Sweden, as well as our subjects to prospective students. The candidates we are looking for are international students enrolled in a Master's programme at the Faculty of Science and Technology. You will be part of our group of Swedish and international student ambassadors and have the chance to add relevant work experience to your CV.
Job Tasks
As a student ambassador you are our representative outwards and have an important role in the recruitment of prospective international students and introducing them to the Faculty of Science and Technology at the University of Gothenburg. Some of the most common tasks include:
Recruitment activities
Most information sessions and recruitment activities will take place online through webinars and Zoom calls. Your work will mainly include sharing your own experience as an international student in Sweden and informing about our courses and programmes within science and IT.
Social media
As a student ambassador, you may also be involved in creating content for the Faculty's various digital channels. This could include sharing your experiences and perspectives as a student or helping us create content for social media and other digital platforms.
You will work together with our Communication Officers, who will plan and coordinate the activities. No previous experience in content creation is required - what matters most is that you are comfortable sharing your student perspective and interested in contributing ideas.
Qualifications
You must be an enrolled student and have studied at least one semester at the Faculty of Science and Technology. Furthermore, it is important that you are outgoing and comfortable talking to people and being visible on the web, in film clips and on social media. You are an organised person and can convey information in a clear way. You enjoy sharing your experiences as an international student living in Sweden. You are expected to speak English fluently; no Swedish knowledge is required.
Employment
The employment is an intermittent employment until 2027-05-31. The number of hours varies depending on need. Mostly, we need help during the major recruitment periods in October-December and March- April. Placement at the Faculty Office of Science and Technology. The start date will be agreed upon individually.
You will receive an introduction before you start your first tasks.
Remuneration
Remuneration of SEK 160 per hour plus holiday pay.
In addition to the compensation, you also get work experience, which is an advantage for future employment. You will also receive a certificate from us for the work you have done.
