Job description
We are looking for a Test & Development Engineer to join an exciting automotive project focused on the development and verification of next-generation Active Safety Systems.
In this role, you will work closely with external customers, function owners, and development teams to plan, execute, and analyze vehicle testing activities. The position combines hands-on testing, technical analysis, and continuous product improvement in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
The role is primarily based in Gothenburg, with regular testing activities at the proving ground and on public roads.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and execute in-vehicle testing activities.
- Perform verification and validation of active safety functions.
- Analyze test data and document results.
- Investigate issues and support root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with developers and function owners to improve system performance.
- Support continuous development of testing methods and processes.
- Ensure high-quality documentation and reporting throughout the project.
Required Qualifications
- BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- 4-6 years of relevant engineering experience, preferably within the automotive industry.
- Experience with Vector CANalyzer and vehicle logging/diagnostic tools.
- Programming experience in Python.
- Experience using MATLAB.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Professional proficiency in both Swedish and English (spoken and written).
- Valid Swedish Category B driving license with solid driving experience.
- Valid Category C or CE driving license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in sensor fusion and sensor development, particularly radar sensors.
- Experience with machine learning and data analysis.
- Proving ground driving permit (e.g., Hällered T2 or equivalent).
- Experience testing embedded automotive software and active safety systems.
