Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Leadership

Lead the design and development of BI architecture, data models, and data pipelines.

Define best practices for data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and reporting.

Review code and ensure high-quality, maintainable BI solutions.

Select appropriate BI tools and technologies.

2. BI Solution Development

Design and develop dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions.

Optimize data models for performance and scalability.

Implement data transformations, aggregation, and business logic.

Common tools include:

Microsoft Power BI

Tableau

Qlik Sense

3. Data Engineering & Architecture

Design data warehouse or lakehouse architecture.

Develop ETL pipelines using tools like:

Azure Data Factory

Apache Airflow

Informatica

Work with databases such as:

Snowflake

Amazon Redshift

Google BigQuery

4. Team Leadership

Lead and mentor BI developers and data engineers.

Conduct design reviews and technical guidance.

Ensure agile development practices.

5. Stakeholder Collaboration

Work with business teams, product owners, and analysts.

Translate business requirements into technical BI solutions.

Deliver insights to support strategic decision-making.

6. Data Governance & Quality

Ensure data consistency, security, and governance.

Define data standards, naming conventions, and validation rules.

Implement monitoring and data quality checks.

Strong SQL and database design
