Software Engineer - (Senior 7+ Years) (d/f/m)

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team and drive automation, scalability, and reliability across our systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java, Kotli, cloud infrastructure, GCP/Azure, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), with proven expertise in maintaining and supporting production platforms as well as other applications and configurator tools.
You will collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline deployments, monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure business-critical applications remain stable and performant.

About the Team / Business Unit

About You:
You will collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline deployments, monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure business-critical applications remain stable and performant.

Key Responsibilities
• Backend developer to help in development of backend systems using Java & Kotlin.
• Ensuring secure design and implementation for APIs, interfaces, and integrations across platforms.
• Designing and implementing secure cloud architectures, particularly on Azure and GCP.
• Conducting and facilitating threat modeling sessions as part of the secure design process.
• Supporting engineering teams in adopting security best practices and secure development practices.
• Implementing and guiding teams on GitHub Advanced Security (GHAS) and secure coding practices.
• Driving cyber security and privacy compliance, ensuring solutions align with enterprise security standards.
• Collaborating with stakeholders and tracking security deliverables using Jira.
• Providing technical guidance and strong communication to engineering and product teams
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containers.
• Demonstrated expertise in GCP security services (e.g., IAM, VPC Service Controls, Cloud Armor, Security Command Center, Cloud Key
• Management Service, GKE security).
• Utilize and lead the work with DevOps mindset
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, cloud hosted, GitHub actions etc.), Terraform and Kubernetes Containers.
• Proactively monitor applications and infrastructure to detect, diagnose, and resolve production issues.
• Collaborate with development teams to embed DevOps best practices and improve system resilience.
• Document workflows, processes, and incident response procedures for operational efficiency.

Required & nice to have Skills :

Must Haves:

• Kotlin experience (should have)
• Java experience (critical)
• Experience with CI/CD, regardless of vendor (Jenkins, cloud hosted, GitHub actions etc.)
• Experience with cloud hosted services (preferably GCP)
• Working in agile teams (otherwise the culture shock might hamper onboarding)
• Java GraphQL
• Automated testing of backend systems
• Dev-ops experience
• Cloud native architecture experience

Nice to Have/ Your chance to grow

• Familiarity with AI-powered tools like GitHub Copilot for automation and prompt engineering.
• Experience with DevSecOps practices and security automation.
• Background in performance testing, load balancing, and capacity planning.
