The role of ambassador and student project manager

We are looking for one or two committed student ambassadors who from the autumn of 2025 want to be the link between Mälardalen University and Sigma Industry Services office in Västerås . As a student ambassador, you are a key person who creates creative and value-creating meetings between students and the business community, with a focus on Sigma Industry Services' opportunities and offering.

With the support of our consultants and management team, you will work to make Sigma Industry Services visible and strengthen our brand. You will have the opportunity to take advantage of and further develop the network you have established during your studies and make valuable contacts for the future.

In this role, you act as a project manager and you can flexibly adapt the work to your studies. The work effort varies, with more intense periods before and during events. With us, you will have a unique opportunity to put theory into practice, strengthen your project management skills and build a professional network that can be invaluable for your future career.

In your role as a student ambassador, you will:

• Be Sigma's contact person for the university's various committees at activities, events, etc.

• Plan and participate in student activities.

• Project manage and carry out own events of varying scope.

• Promote Sigma Industry in social media and physically at the university.

What are we looking for in you?

• You I am a student at MDU based in Västerås and have one or a few years left until graduation.

• You studying to engineer in areas such as Robotics, Reliable Systems, Computer Science, Energy Engineering, Embedded Systems, Energy Systems and Software Engineering or similar.

• You find it easy to meet new people and build relationships.

As a person, you are committed and businesslike, strive to deliver your utmost, have great social skills and are a role model in the contexts in which you work. We value that you are enterprising, independent, take ideas from planning to implementation.
