We are responsible for our embedded software platform which includes Volvo Autosar Platform (VAP) based on Classic Autosar, Linux, and Volvo Dynamic Software Platform (VDSP) based on Adaptative Autosar and Hypervisor technologies. It is on this platform that all in-house developed applications run on and make our commercial vehicles come to life that bring joy to our end-customer and their day-to-day work. We are responsible for our embedded software platform, which includes the Volvo Autosar Platform (VAP) based on Classic Autosar that works together with Linux, and the Volvo Dynamic Software Platform (VDSP) based on Adaptive Autosar and Hypervisor technologies on the same platform. Our platform supports the central ECU, hosting in-house developed application software that powers our commercial vehicles, bringing joy and efficiency to our end-customers in their day-to-day work. What you will do

Configure and integrate the AUTOSAR stack, including various Basic Software (BSW) modules and Microcontroller Abstraction Layers (MCALs), to ensure seamless operation within our systems.

Manage the configuration of software components and watchdogs to align with project specifications and requirements.

Oversee memory allocation, memory partitioning, and multi-core processing to optimize system performance and efficiency.

Contribute to software design, collaborating with team members to develop innovative and effective solutions.

Integrate application and signal databases (CAN/CAN-FD) to enhance data management and communication across systems.

Perform technical reviews on software component design, code, and testing strategies, including integration test planning.

Perform fault tracing and troubleshoot errors within the technical area to maintain system integrity and reliability.

Requirements:

A bachelor's degree or master's degree in computer science, Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering

10+ years of experience working with Embedded Software

Proficient in programming languages such as Python and C, with solid experience in software development.

At least 6 years of experience working with AUTOSAR on platform level, demonstrating a strong understanding of its architecture and components.

Familiarity with software testing methodologies and tools, including CANoe, to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Self-driven, with a strong eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.

Familiarity with automotive communication protocols, network management concepts, bootloaders and functional safety development with ISO 26262 automotive standards.

Security design using Hardware Security Modules (HSM) for bootloader implementation, to ensure secure booting and secure flashing processes are in place.
