Senior Data Engineer

I'm Marie Reinholdson Ifvarson, the hiring manager for this role. We're looking for a colleague who wants to combine hands-on engineering with the opportunity to shape our data and AI platforms. You'll join a supportive team where collaboration, knowledge sharing and business value guide what we build.

What you'll do:

From designing data architectures to building reliable pipelines, you'll help shape the platforms behind analytics, automation and AI. Working closely with developers, architects, product owners and business stakeholders, you'll turn complex needs into secure, scalable solutions.

• Build and improve scalable data pipelines, data products and analytics solutions using efficient ETL/ELT processes.

• Make data AI-ready through robust architectures, feature engineering and high-quality datasets for analytics and machine learning.

• Help develop AI-powered solutions, including generative AI, agentic AI and intelligent automation.

• Keep platforms dependable with a focus on data quality, reliability, observability, performance and security.

• Raise the engineering standard through software engineering, CI/CD and MLOps practices, mentoring and knowledge sharing.

Out technology landscape

• Data and platforms: SQL, Spark, Trino, PostgreSQL, dbt, Airflow, Luigi, Kubernetes, datamodelling and geospatial data.

• Engineering practices: CI/CD, DevOps and MLOps.

• Applied AI: predictive analytics, LLM integrations, vector databases, RAG and analytics agents.

What will help you thrive in this role:

You enjoy solving complex engineering challenges and are curious about what data and AI can make possible. You listen, share what you know and work closely with others to turn technical solutions into real business value.

• Engineering experience: Several years in data engineering, backend development or platform engineering, building and operating scalable data solutions, pipelines, data products and analytics platforms.

• Core technical skills: Strong SQL, Python and modern software development skills, plus strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills and experience with containers and Kubernetes.

• Data and AI understanding: Knowledge of modern data architectures and cloud-native development, with experience in AI, machine learning or advanced analytics and an understanding of how data platforms enable AI and automation.

• Collaboration: The ability to translate business needs into technical solutions, strong communication and stakeholder management skills, and fluent English.

It's a plus if you also bring:

• Hands-on AI: Generative AI, LLMs, agentic AI frameworks, AI-enabled products or intelligent automation.

• AI engineering: MLOps, model deployment, AI platforms, vector databases, semantic search or RAG.

• Security: Infrastructure and platform security, access management and authentication/authorization.

• Data technologies: DBT, AWS, Azure or GCP, and analytics, BI or AI/ML tools such as Snowflake, Databricks or Trino.

• Industry experience: Telecom or large-scale enterprise environments.
