On behalf of Namsos Hospital, part of Helse Nord-Trøndelag Health Trust, we are looking for a skilled and motivated radiologist for a permanent position.
Namsos Hospital serves a population of approximately 39,000 people across 19 municipalities in northern Trøndelag and the Bindal area in Nordland. The health trust has around 3,700 employees and provides specialist healthcare services within emergency medicine, internal medicine, surgery, maternity care and psychiatry.
Trøndelag is located in the heart of Norway and offers a unique combination of urban life, coastal beauty and access to nature. The region is ideal for outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, fishing and cycling.
Responsibilities:
Performing CT and X-ray examinations
Conducting ultrasound and basic interventional procedures
MRI and mammography
Participating in the department's daily operations, including on-call rotation (currently a 1-in-5 senior consultant rota; junior doctors often cover first-line call)
Collaborating with clinical departments and primary care services
Qualifications:
Medical license and radiology specialty certification from an EU/EEA country
Broad experience in CT, X-ray, ultrasound, and simple interventional procedures
MRI and/or mammography experience is a strong advantage
Proficient in English and motivated to learn Norwegian. A free language course will be provided
Personal qualities:
Ability to work independently, systematically and accurately
Good communication and teamwork skill
Adaptability and a willingness to learn
Strong emphasis on personal suitability
