This is a newly created position within a young and expanding company, offering a broad and influential role with a high degree of responsibility and autonomy. Your primary workplace will be at the company's headquarters in Gothenburg.
The Role
As Purchasing Manager, you will hold a broad position with significant responsibility and the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the organization. You will be reporting to the COO and responsible for developing the company's procurement strategy and establishing the purchasing function from the ground.
The role includes designing, implementing, and continuously improving processes and tools related to supplier evaluation, selection, performance monitoring, and supplier development. In alignment with the company's overall objectives, you will work both strategically and long-term while also managing day-to-day operational purchasing activities. You will be responsible for purchasing in cross-functional projects, working closely with R & D to ensure supplier capabilities, cost, and manufacturability.
A strong focus on quality, safety, and environmental sustainability will be essential in this role.
Background and Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a relevant university degree or equivalent qualifications, combined with extensive experience in strategic procurement and purchasing of both goods and services.
You have a proven track record of leading negotiations, establishing contractual agreements, and working strategically towards long-term business objectives. You are quality-oriented, possess a strong interest in technology, and ideally have experience working within a technology-driven, start-up environment.
Fluency in both Swedish and English, written and spoken, is required. Experience in scaling organizations, greenfield setups or ERP/MRP systems is considered an advantage.
