About Open Payments

Open Payments is a VC-funded FinTech startup founded in 2017. We are on a mission to disrupt the financial industry and change how consumers and businesses use and access financial services, with the aim to shape the Open Banking era. We provide the groundbreaking market infrastructure required for successful Open Banking based on PSD2. Open Payments uses an open and secure API to access the diversified bank APIs throughout the EU.

What will you do?

As a Product Owner at Open Payments, you'll have a supportive role in our Product team. You'll work closely with colleagues from cross-functional teams to learn the fundamentals of our product portfolio and grow as you take on new challenges.

In this role, you will:

• Assist the Product Team and the Operations Team in achieving operational excellence aligned with our existing product portfolio and customer needs.
• Lead improvement projects that align with our way of working.
• Create and follow up on project action lists, set timelines, and monitor development progress.
• Draft and clarify requirements, such as preparing tickets for the development team, ensuring they have what they need to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Contribute to the documentation in collaboration with the development team, learning how to articulate clear and useful information about our products.
• Stay deeply connected to our business and maintain a strong interest in building products from scratch, always striving to maximize the value our customers gain from our solutions.

Who are you?

We believe you are a driven and organized individual with a passion for building impactful products and working closely with technical teams. You possess a strong understanding of integration technologies and how customers can use APIs to their full potential.

We are looking for someone with:

• A relevant academic degree with a technical focus.
• Some experience in project management.
• An interest in and understanding of how to prioritize and manage projects, aligning them with business goals.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate requirements and priorities to both technical teams and internal stakeholders.
• A proactive attitude and a deep interest in understanding the business value behind the products you build.

It's a bonus if you have:

• Previous experience in launching and delivering successful projects.
• Knowledge or experience with banking and financial products, particularly an understanding of payment products throughout their lifecycle.
