Beskrivning

Do you have experience in chemical product regulatory compliance and enjoy turning complex legislation into practical solutions? Are you motivated by applying your regulatory experience across global markets and helping the business bring compliant products to our customers? Then this could be the opportunity for you!

WHAT YOU'LL DO

We are now looking for a Product Compliance Specialist with a strong regulatory background and experience in chemical products (e.g. scented candles, room scents, glue). In this role, you will be part of the Product Compliance team and focus on chemical compliance as well as product labelling requirements.

The Product Compliance department brings together specialists across different areas of product compliance and safety. We are responsible for setting requirements and routines for all products sold by the H&M group, in line with legislation and product safety. We research and find regulatory information concerning product safety and legal requirements in new, as well as established markets, and for new products. By supporting several parts of our business with our expertise, we contribute to the overall customer experience.

In this role you will have a broad end-to-end responsibility, securing requirements connected to product, ingredients, labelling and product reporting. The main responsibilities will include:
  • Monitor legislation for chemical products on existing selling markets and ensure that H&M Group's internal requirements and routines are up to date
  • Research requirements for chemical products to enable expansion, for new markets and new products
  • Secure compliance with REACH and REACH-like regulations, e.g. EU REACH, UK REACH, KKDIK; investigate legal requirements on existing- and expansion markets, secure that internal routines for formulated products are up to date and implemented in production, follow-up on quantities and certificates
  • Manage mandatory product reporting and notification requirements in designated markets, ensuring timely and accurate submissions to meet critical regulatory deadlines
  • Monitor and interpret regulatory requirements for product and online labelling of chemical products, assess their impact on the business, and translate them into clear compliance requirements and guidance. Transform complex regulatory requirements into user-friendly information and guidelines in order to enable compliance.
  • Support global authority inspections, audits, and regulatory inquiries by coordinating responses and providing the required information.
  • Collaborate with, support and train colleagues and other stakeholders to ensure regulatory requirements are understood and effectively implemented.

WHO YOU ARE
We're looking for someone who combines a relevant academic background with hands-on experience from relevant industry and/or working within a regulatory authority. You're comfortable navigating complex regulatory requirements and can translate your expertise into clear, practical guidance for the business. You enjoy taking ownership of your area of expertise while collaborating with different stakeholders and making complex regulatory information accessible to others.

We are looking for a person with...
  • A degree in chemistry, toxicology, or similar field
  • At least two years' experience working with chemical product regulatory compliance
  • Hands-on experience working with CLP and REACH regulations
  • Knowledge of the Biocidal Products Regulation is considered an advantage
  • Experience working with regulatory requirements for chemical consumer products such as candles, room scents or similar product categories is a strong plus
  • Strong communication skills in English (Swedish is considered an advantage)

And a person who is...
  • Driven, adaptable and comfortable applying your expertise to different business needs
  • Able to take ownership and work independently while being a strong team player
  • Skilled at making complex information simple and accessible, always with the business and customer in mind
  • Business and customer-focused, with the ability to balance regulatory requirements with business needs
