Job Description

Oracle Linux Virtualization team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help with designing and implementing solutions to support virtualization stacks used by Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Exadata Database systems, and a variety of services and products.

The ideal candidate will have significant development experience in Linux kernel, particularly in the virtualization (KVM) area, as well as QEMU (or some other VMM). Upstream participation in either of these projects is highly desirable. Good understanding of CPU (x86 or ARM) architecture and PCI subsystem is expected.

Responsibilities

The positions will require:

• Developing, testing and maintaining software to support Oracle virtualization stack, including kernel, QEMU, libvirt, OVMF
• Participating in escalations and fixing bugs
• Active participation in upstream community
• Working with Oracle partners to address ussues with existing products as well as to plan future products
