Dignus Medical collaborates with several established healthcare providers across Sweden. We are currently receiving ongoing requests from hospitals in central Sweden seeking specialist physicians in orthopaedics. These opportunities arise regularly as healthcare providers expand their orthopaedic services and strengthen their specialist teams.

We are continuously interested in connecting with Orthopaedic Surgeons who are open to exploring professional opportunities in Sweden.

The Role

As a specialist in orthopaedics, you will work in a modern hospital environment alongside multidisciplinary teams focused on high-quality patient care. The clinical work typically includes both elective orthopaedic surgery and acute trauma care, depending on the structure of the department.

Common responsibilities include:

Assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders and injuries

Elective orthopaedic procedures depending on experience and subspecialty

Participation in trauma and emergency orthopaedic care

Outpatient consultations and follow-up care

Collaboration with physiotherapists, radiologists, and other medical specialists

Participation in clinical development and quality improvement work

Hospitals in this region often manage a broad orthopaedic case mix, offering opportunities to work with both common orthopaedic conditions and more complex cases.

Location and Lifestyle

The opportunities are located in a region of central Sweden known for its coastal landscapes, forests, rivers, and open countryside. The area offers excellent access to nature and outdoor activities year-round, including hiking, fishing, skiing, and boating.

Daily life is practical and well-organized. Cities in this region offer short commuting distances, accessible housing, and well-developed public services. Schools, childcare, and healthcare services are easily available, making the region suitable both for individuals relocating alone and for physicians moving with their families.

The lifestyle combines a calm environment with reliable infrastructure and convenient travel connections to larger Swedish cities.
