Mechanical Engineer
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team for an exciting new data center construction project in Helsinki metropolitan area, Finland. This is a long-term employment opportunity with a project expected to last several years.
What are the main responsibilities?
The role involves preparing and assigning work schedules, supervising and motivating team members, handling mechanical materials and equipment during installation, and maintaining safety standards. It requires experience with HVAC, cooling systems, firefighting, plumbing, and data center redundancy connections. Responsibilities include managing changes, reviewing and improving work procedures, coordinating with contractors and various departments, hiring and training new employees, overseeing on-site mechanical operations, and providing support as needed.
What do we expect from you?
We expect you to hold a diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering, with proven experience in Data Centers. You should possess excellent organizational and planning skills, and be a team player with strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Proficiency in engineering-related software systems and excellent IT skills are essential. Additionally, you should be capable of managing your workload, prioritizing tasks, and working independently using your own initiative. Good communication skills in English are required, and Finnish language skills are a plus.
