We are currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our talented team at Machines in Västerås, specializing in synchronous motors, generators and synchronous condensers. Your responsibilities

• As a Mechanical Designer, you will join of a dedicated team where your responsibilities will include managing customer orders, conduction construction work and handling documentation. You will oversee projects from the initial design phase through manufacturing and ultimately delivery.
• This role offers a diverse range of challenges, as each machine is customized, and no two projects are alike. You will encounter various technical inquires that require your expertise.
• To excel in this position, you will closely collaborate with other team members. This will involve working alongside colleagues from quality control, production, aftermarket services, and our suppliers.

Your background

• A university degree in Mechanical Engineering along with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, is required.
• Possessing a broad general technical knowledge is essential.
• On a personal level, you should be open-minded and consistently strive to comprehend customer requirements, aiming to find optimal solutions based on our unique concepts.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a helpful and service-oriented attitude are crucial, as you will collaborate closely with others.
• You have an analytical mindset and ability to make informed decisions regarding technical solutions.
• Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken alike are a requirement. Knowledge of Swedish is advantageous.
