Legal Counsel (Volunteer Opportunity)

Agile Gothenburg is looking for a legal counsel to assist in a project that is dedicated to safeguarding and advancing the rights of immigrants across Sweden and the EU.

You will have the unique opportunity to establish our legal advocacy efforts, shape our legal strategies, and make a tangible difference in the lives of immigrants facing complex legal challenges.

✅ What You'll Do

Provide legal advice and guidance on immigration matters (asylum, residence permits, and integration processes).

Conduct legal research and draft formal documents or appeals.

Represent the interests of the project before authorities as needed.

Collaborate with our team on legal strategies and public awareness initiatives.

🎯 What You Bring

Rocking (or about to rock) a degree in law or similar.

Interest or experience in Swedish and EU immigration law.

Commitment to human rights and social justice.

Strong communication and advocacy skills.

Applications from individuals with a foreign background (born abroad or with at least one foreign-born parent) are highly encouraged.

Proficiency in languages common among immigrant communities (e.g., Ukrainian, Arabic, Persian, Somali, or Bosnian) is a significant advantage.
