Junior Operator - Help Build the Future of Battery Technology
Are you hands-on, interested in technology, and curious about how the batteries of the future are made? Perhaps you have recently graduated from a technical upper secondary school programme, worked for a year or two as an operator, or gained experience in a warehouse or production environment - or simply want to take your first step into the manufacturing industry? Then this could be the opportunity for you.
Vanadis Energy is developing the future of energy storage through innovative battery technology. Our proprietary Vanadium Solid-State Battery (VSSB) represents a new generation of safe, high-performance energy storage systems, with a manufacturing model designed for rapid global scale-up. In parallel, we are also developing innovative zinc-ion batteries for a range of applications.
We are now growing and looking for several Junior Operators to join our facility in Rosersberg.
This is an opportunity to enter an exciting and fast-growing industry and be part of building and developing our production from an early stage. You do not need to know everything from day one. For us, the right attitude, a strong safety mindset, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn are just as important as previous experience.
About the role
As a Junior Operator, you will be an important part of our production team and work hands-on with the manufacturing of our batteries. Your work will include operating production equipment, handling materials, assembly, quality control and testing.
As we are in a growth phase, you will join an environment where things develop quickly. You will work closely with other operators, technicians and engineers, giving you the opportunity to learn more about both production processes and battery technology.
We are looking for someone who enjoys practical work, takes responsibility and is not afraid to ask questions when something is unclear. Safety and quality always come first.
What will you do?
Your responsibilities will include:
Operating and monitoring production equipment.
Manufacturing, assembling and testing battery cells and battery components.
Handling materials, components, tools and finished products according to established procedures.
Performing quality checks and documenting production results.
Preparing, setting up and cleaning production equipment.
Carrying out basic troubleshooting and identifying when something is not working as expected.
Contributing to a safe, clean and well-organised workplace in accordance with 5S principles.
Reporting deviations, safety observations and improvement suggestions.
Working closely with colleagues and supporting different parts of the production process when needed.
Who are we looking for?
Your background can look different. Perhaps you:
Have recently graduated from a technical, industrial, electrical or other practical upper secondary school programme.
Have worked for a year or two as a Production Operator, Machine Operator or Assembler.
Have experience from warehouse, logistics or another hands-on environment and would like to develop your career within manufacturing.
Have a strong interest in technology and are looking for an opportunity to learn manufacturing from the ground up.
Most importantly, we are looking for someone who:
Is hands-on and genuinely interested in technology and manufacturing.
Is responsible, detail-oriented and quality-conscious.
Has a strong safety mindset and understands the importance of following instructions and procedures.
Enjoys working as part of a team and contributing to a positive working environment.
Is curious, eager to learn and comfortable asking questions when unsure.
Is flexible and comfortable working in a growing and changing environment.
Can communicate effectively in English. Swedish is considered an advantage.
Previous experience from manufacturing, process industry or another production environment is an advantage, but not a requirement.
Why Vanadis Energy?
At Vanadis Energy, you will get more than a traditional operator role. You will have the opportunity to enter the battery industry at an exciting stage and develop your skills as our production and company continue to grow.
You will become part of an international team where operators, technicians and engineers work together to solve problems, improve processes and bring new battery technology from development into production.
We are not only building batteries - we are building the team and the factory that will produce them. Would you like to be part of it from the beginning?
What we offer
In addition to an exciting and international working environment, we offer secure employment conditions and benefits, including:
Collective Bargaining Agreement - providing clear and secure employment terms and conditions.
Occupational pension and insurance in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
Wellness allowance of SEK 4,000 per year.
25 days of annual vacation.
Opportunities to learn, develop and grow as our production and organisation expand.
As part of the recruitment process, the final candidate may, depending on the responsibilities and safety requirements of the position, be required to undergo a drug test and provide an extract from the Swedish Police criminal records register.
Please submit your application through our website. We do not accept applications via email.
We look forward to receiving your application!
