About the Role
As the Service Operations Manager for the EMEA Region, you will play a crucial role in aligning regional infrastructure initiatives with our global strategy. You will promote a culture of collaboration within a loosely coupled but highly aligned IT Operations team, ensuring efficient utilization of resources. Your responsibilities will include managing regional infrastructure tasks and projects, optimizing resources, and effectively managing offshore teams. You will also proactively identify and address potential risks, ensuring new initiatives meet infrastructure standards and best practices.

This role reports to the Senior IT Manager for Infrastructure Delivery and is based in Gothenburg. Some traveling is included in the role .

What You Will Do

• Collaborate with the global Infrastructure team to align regional initiatives with global goals and standards.
• Promote a culture of collaboration and communication within the IT Operations team.
• Manage regional infrastructure tasks and projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.
• Act as a key liaison for the Service Operations team, ensuring alignment with initiatives across different regions.
• Allocate and manage infrastructure resources across the EMEA region for optimal utilization .
• Identify opportunities for resource sharing and collaboration across geographically dispersed teams.
• Effectively manage offshore teams, ensuring they are integrated into the overall project strategy and execution.
• Proactively identify and address potential risks and challenges associated with global infrastructure initiatives.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders on tasks and project progress.
• Ensure clear and open communication across all team members, regardless of their geographic locations.

Who You Are

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented with superior verbal and written communication skills. You possess excellent critical thinking and problem-solving aptitude, along with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and cultures. You demonstrate exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities and can work independently, making informed decisions in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, you have excellent organizational skills, allowing you to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, and you maintain a proactive mindset.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree or certifications are a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in infrastructure management within a global organization with enterprise deployments.
• Strong IT infrastructure knowledge and expertise with technologies such as VMware, Cisco, and Palo Alto.
• Previous experience with data center technologies and deployments as well as cloud technologies, such as Azure, AWS, etc.
• Strong understanding of SDWAN and other network technologies. Hands-on technical management experience, with a proven ability to lead and mentor a team of technical professionals.
• Familiarity with enterprise project planning and resource management.
• Experience in vendor management and the ability to build and maintain vendor relationships.
• Proven ability to manage offshore teams as part of a larger team and integrate them into the broader strategy.
• Strong understanding of global infrastructure standards and best practices.
• Desirable certifications: MCSE, VMware, Storage, CCNP, ITIL v3 Certification.
