We are now looking for an additional colleague to join as an IT Digital Workplace Support Technician.This position will be located at the Essity head office in the Waterfront Building, just next to the Stockholm Central Station. The head office includes the Executive Management and Group Staff Functions such as Finance, Legal Affairs, Strategy & Business Development, Human Resources, Communications and Global Business Support.

About the role
As an IT Digital Workplace Support Technician, you will use your expertise to strengthen Essity's modern workplace environment and ensure a seamless digital experience for employees. You will identify and drive improvements within your area of technical specialization, support users both regionally and globally, and collaborate closely with global IT teams to maintain reliable and secure workplace technologies. The role involves building strong relationships with users, mentoring colleagues, and ensuring that Digital Workplace services effectively enable key business processes. You will play a n important role in maintaining high service levels, ensuring compliance, and supporting business continuity during critical incidents.
What You Will Do
- Process and take ownership of incident tickets and service requests through the IT service management platform.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues independently to minimize disruption.
- Monitor end user technologies to ensure optimal performance and address issues proactively.
- Install, configure, and replace IT workplace equipment such as laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, and unified communication tools.
- Support the device lifecycle, including preparing, deploying, and retiring hardware.
- Handle user provisioning and access management tasks in coordination with global IT teams.
- Administer IT assets, maintaining accurate records of hardware and software.
- Provide training and guidance to end user s on Digital Workplace technologies, including Microsoft 365, Teams and OneDrive.
- Document processes, system configurations, issues, and resolutions clearly and accurately.
- Ensure internal and external audit requirements are fulfilled at the location.
- Work closely with Operational Technologies as defined by global IT standards .
- Provide extended support during critical outages to help restore operations quickly.
Who we believe You Are
To succeed in the role, it would be an advantage if you have previous experience of technical support, preferably in a global organization working across sites collaborating within own team and supporting users. You need to have sense of urgency and we expect you to be self-driven and very customer oriented with ability to manage all types of customers. You need to be able to communicate well and understand different individuals and their needs. You are a team player with ability to work under pressure but who also likes to have fun at work. Your social skills are important as you will be dealing with many customers daily . You should be fluent in English and Swedish, in writing and speech.
Furthermore, we believe it is an advantage if you bring experience in the following:
- High-level knowledge of commonly used software, hardware and applications.
- Understanding of network and server principles, protocols.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve operating system related technical issues.
- Proven experience with IT Service Management tools and ticketing systems.
- Experience in managing IT assets, including hardware and software inventory, licensing, and maintenance tracking.
- Understanding of IT security principles, including firewalls, antivirus software, encryption, and secure password management.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and collaboration tools.
