Head of Third-Party Risk Management Services | SEB, Stockholm

We are seeking an experienced and strategic professional to lead SEB's Third-Party Risk Management Services (TPRMS), a new key function within the recently formed Risk Services function of Group & Business Services. About the role:

As Head of TPRMS, you will play a critical role in building and leading a new team responsible for implementing and maintaining SEB's third-party risk management framework. You will set the strategic direction for the team, ensuring alignment with internal and external requirements, including the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA). Your leadership will be essential in establishing a high-performing team culture, fostering collaboration, and driving accountability across all third-party risk management processes. Additionally, you will be responsible for continuously developing and improving SEB's TPRM process and framework to ensure it remains effective, efficient, and aligned with evolving regulatory requirements and business needs. You will report to the Head of Risk Services.

Among other responsibilities, you will work with:

Build, lead, and develop the newly established TPRMS team into a trusted partner across SEB.

Drive the team's strategic direction, aligning with SEB's goals and regulatory requirements.

Oversee TPRM processes across the third-party lifecycle, ensuring governance, compliance, and effective risk management.

Continuously improve the TPRM framework to adapt to evolving risks and regulatory standards.

Ensure compliance for ICT and non-ICT third-party arrangements, managing regulatory reporting.

Create and maintain clear, actionable first-line TPRM instructions and guidelines.

Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure first-line accountability for third-party risks.

Provide strategic oversight on risk appetite statements and key risk indicators (KRIs).

Act as liaison with senior management and regulatory authorities, providing regular updates on TPRM activities and KRIs.

Escalate risk deviations to governance bodies and provide updates on framework changes.

Coordinate with second-line functions to support overall risk oversight.

To thrive in this role, we believe you have:

Strong leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams and drive organizational change.

At least 7 years of experience in third-party risk management, vendor management, procurement, compliance, or related fields in a regulated industry.

Proven leadership experience with a track record of team management and goal alignment.

Experience implementing and overseeing third-party risk frameworks across ICT and non-ICT arrangements.

A demonstrated ability to improve processes and evolve the TPRM framework to meet emerging challenges.

Experience working with senior management and regulatory bodies on risk-related matters.

Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across Divisions, Subsidiaries, Group Functions, and second-line functions.

The ability to provide clear updates and actionable insights to senior management and regulators.
