All about the role:

The Head of Program Management is a senior leadership role within Transformation & Program Management in the Product Organization. The role will establish and lead the Program Management team, building a consistent approach to major product program delivery, governance, transparency and cross-functional execution.

You will lead the Program Management delivery and governance execution, ensuring clear escalation discipline, program health tracking and portfolio visibility across major Product initiatives. Functional delivery remains with the functions, while your mission is to enable predictable execution of Product strategy through disciplined program management.

What you'll do:

• Establish Product Program Management Excellence: Build and lead the Product Program Management team, creating a unified program management capability that supports successful delivery of major product development projects/programs.
• Own the program management and related delivery model: Own how programs are run day-to-day, portfolio visibility, program health reporting and tracking, escalation discipline, program management skills and direct leadership of selected major product development programs. Partner with IA/PDCL Process & Governance team on process standards, checkpoint logic, readiness criteria, exceptions, fast tracks and process learning.
• Create executive-ready portfolio visibility: Provide Product Leadership Team with a consolidated view of major program status, milestones, resource constraints, dependencies, risks, and decision needs.
• Drive successful delivery of strategic programs: Support and challenge program teams to improve planning quality, governance discipline, decision making, stakeholder alignment, and execution performance.
• Support portfolio governance and prioritization: Provide transparent facts on program status, business impact, resources, risks and dependencies, in collaboration with Product Strategy & Planning colleagues in PSIS, who own the product portfolio.
• Enable cross-functional integration: Work with Product Lines, R&D, Procurement, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, Digital, and regional organizations to address execution barriers, manage dependencies, and improve delivery of profitable products on time, on cost, on quality and on spec.
• Strengthen resource and capacity transparency: Partner with functional leaders to improve visibility of resource allocation, critical skill constraints, execution capacity, and portfolio demand.Drive continuous improvement: Address systemic execution challenges to reduce delays, improve launch readiness, and increase delivery predictability.
• Combine hands-on program leadership with team management: Lead selected major programs directly while leading and coaching the Program Management team.

What success looks like:

After 6 months

• The Product Program Management team is established with a clear mandate, operating model, governance approach, reporting standards and roadmap toward a Group-wide team for major programs. A foundational team is established and the route toward a Group-wide team of program managers for major product programs has been defined.
• Product Leadership has a consolidated Product portfolio view covering major strategic program status, milestones, dependencies, risks, resource constraints, and delivery performance.
• Resource and capacity transparency has improved for key strategic initiatives.
• Governance forums operate with clear decision accountability and escalation paths.

Longer term

• Program management is embedded as a core capability supporting Product strategy execution, with the capacity and capability to lead all major product development programs across product lines.
• Strategic programs are delivered with higher predictability, stronger governance discipline, and better cross-functional alignment.
• Program management maturity improves consistently across Product Lines and functions, with the team recognized as a practical enabler of execution excellence.
• Resource decisions, prioritization choices, and delivery trade-offs are made using transparent portfolio information.
• Risks, dependencies and execution obstacles are identified faster, giving leadership stronger confidence in portfolio reporting, forecasts and execution plans.

Who you're:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Program Management, Project Management, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.
• Master's degree and/or relevant certifications (PMP, PgMP, PMI, PRINCE2, Agile, SAFe, Portfolio Management, or equivalent) are advantageous.
• 10+ years of experience in program management, portfolio management, transformation, product development, or related disciplines.
• Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional programs within a global matrix organization.
• Strong understanding of portfolio governance, program lifecycle management, checkpoint-based development processes, and strategic execution.
• Strong stakeholder influence and change management skills, with ability to drive alignment in a global matrix organization.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to turn complex delivery challenges into clear executive-level recommendations.
• Experience building teams, governance models, and operating frameworks is preferred.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.

Where you'll be:

Preferred location is our headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden. Other major Electrolux locations may be considered for the right candidate, depending on business needs and stakeholder proximity.
