Head of Legal

Telia Finance AB is an independent credit market company providing financial services to B2B and B2C customers for in Telia Company, one of the world's biggest telecom operators. In the role as Head of Legal, you will take charge of developing and leading the company's legal policies, creating frameworks that ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. You will provide strategic guidance on financial services and regulatory requirements, equipping teams with actionable legal insights that empower the organization to grow. With an eye on ever-changing legislation, you will ensure that our practices stay ahead of the curve and align with both internal and external standards.

As the face of the company in legal discussions, you will engage with external stakeholders, including regulators and partners. Through your leadership, you'll drive training initiatives to build a culture of legal awareness and compliance across the organization.

In this role, you are a part of Telia Finance Management team and you will also lead and foster the growth and development of a talented team of five Legal Generalists.

The work will include legal issues, for example in relation to:

• Credit, financing, leasing and securities law;
• Consumer and consumer credit law;
• Drafting, negotiating and interpreting agreements;
• Defaults, debt collection, claims and disputes;
• Corporate law
• AML and KYC; and GDPR/privacy.

Is this you?

For this position, we are looking for an individual with deep knowledge of the legal and regulatory landscape in financial services with strong leadership capabilities. We believe you have a background from working in a finance/credit market company, with a specific responsibility in leading and aligning legal strategies with corporate goals.

Your experience:

• Higher degree in law
• Strong business acumen, including a deep understanding of financial terms, regulations and regional market dynamics. Experience in the financial and regulated industries is also required.
• Proven ability to drive change, communicate effectively, and influence across multinational organizations.
• Fluent in English and Swedish

Telia Finance is a company regulated by the Financial Supervisory Authority and is subject to specific accounting and regulatory requirements. These roles require experience in a credit market company or a similar field.
