Head of Freight Forwarding Sweden

Join an international logistics company and take ownership of freight forwarding operations across Sweden. 

At Link Logistics, we are looking for a commercially and operationally strong Head of Freight Forwarding Sweden who can lead and develop our freight forwarding setup across Air, Ocean, and Road. 

The position offers a unique opportunity to shape the operational structure and leadership approach across Air, Ocean, and Road while ensuring alignment between operations, commercial priorities, customer expectations, and future business needs. 

The Opportunity

As Head of Freight Forwarding Sweden, you will have the overall responsibility for freight forwarding across Air, Ocean, and Road in Sweden. This is a newly established role, created to strengthen and scale the Freight Forwarding business in Sweden and support the continued development of Link Logistics' global organization. 

You will own and drive performance and development across the Swedish Freight Forwarding organization ensuring operational excellence, customer satisfaction, profitability, and continuous improvement. 

For courier customers, you will be responsible for operational performance and service delivery, while Sales owns the commercial relationship and pricing. For Freight Forwarding customers, you will have responsibility for both commercial and operational performance, including profitability, customer retention, and business growth. 

You will also ensure compliant, safe, and high-quality freight forwarding operations through strong governance, proactive risk management, operational discipline, and adherence to company standards. 

You will have the ownership of the freight forwarding budget and cost structure in Sweden, ensuring strong financial performance through effective cost control and optimization initiatives. 

The role requires both strategic perspective and hands-on execution. You will lead and develop Freight Forwarding supervisors through clear direction, accountability, operational follow-up, and continuous improvement, while strengthening collaboration across functions and commercial areas. 

As a member of the Swedish leadership team in Link Logistics, you will contribute to the broader business agenda, organizational development, and strategic direction of the Swedish operation. You will also work with similar leadership roles across other countries to ensure alignment in ways of working, operational standards, and the optimal utilization of operational resources across the company. 

You report to the Managing Director, Emerging Markets. The position is located in Gothenburg.
