About the job
As a Global Black Belt, you will get an opportunity to develop your own competence and at the same time contribute to the Alfa Laval business results. You will get ALPS and Lean Six Sigma (LSS) training to Black Belt level (if you do not have it already) and take on global projects and spend time abroad for short-term assignments (STA). This is a permanent position; however, we estimate that after about three years you´ll be ready to take on new challenges anywhere within the company.
This is an opportunity to grow and challenge yourself to develop and learn new skills. As a project manager, you will get a broad network and extensive knowledge of the Alfa Laval business, using LSS methodology and problem-solving skills to improve performance and customer satisfaction, no matter which function and area you work with. The different assignments and projects will give you exposure to different areas and open new opportunities beyond your role as Global Black Belt.
What you know
You hold an academic degree and have a minimum of two years of experience in any function within the company. You will participate in Black Belt training to gain the additional skills required. If you already hold a Black Belt, your involvement in the training will be adjusted accordingly. While Green Belt certification and project management experience are preferred, we place greater emphasis on your potential and talent.
Who you are
We are looking for you who are curious, structured, and self-motivated. You are a high performer with an agile mindset and a passion for enabling and creating business value in a global context. We believe you are driven by performance improvements and thrive in building networks across business functions in an international and cross-cultural environment. We trust you are comfortable with ambiguity and enjoy taking the lead, ensuring strong results and fostering valuable collaboration.
What's in it for you
This is a great opportunity to develop your competence and broaden your network within the company. You will get valuable experiences in an international setting, and we see you driving the culture, spreading the knowledge of continuous improvements. You will have the opportunity to improve your project management and leadership skills and have a direct impact on the result for the company and your future career within Alfa Laval.
Practicalities
Travel activities should be expected, within the range of 50-70 days per year, as you will be sent to the various Alfa Laval locations. During the program, short-term assignments (STA) should also be expected. STA means you will be assigned projects in another location than your current site, being away from your family and friends for some time, even if a lot of work can be done remotely. The typical lead time of a Black Belt project is 9-12 months, and you will lead around 3 projects a year during your time in the Global Black Belt Pool.
