About the Growth Marketing team:

The Growth Marketing team is part of Aira's Commercial Area, responsible for turning interest in clean energy into installed homes. We work across brand awareness, lead generation, sales enablement and customer conversion in all our markets.

Our mission is to make clean energy feel simple, relevant and compelling to homeowners across Europe. Through thoughtful storytelling, engaging campaigns and clear, persuasive communication, we help people understand the benefits of switching to cleaner energy and feel confident taking the next step.

About the role:

We're looking for a versatile freelance Content and Copy Writer to bring Aira's brand to life across our markets and channels.

From engaging blog articles and compelling website copy to paid advertising, landing pages, email campaigns and printed brochures, you'll create content that captures attention, communicates value and inspires action. You'll know how to adapt your writing to different formats, audiences and stages of the customer journey, while maintaining a consistent and recognisable brand voice.

You'll work closely with our SEO & Content Lead, Growth Marketing team, designers and localization partners to develop content that is engaging, customer-focused and aligned with our marketing goals. You'll incorporate SEO insights to help people discover our content, without compromising on originality, readability or storytelling.

This is a freelance engagement averaging 20+ hours per week, with a minimum commitment of one year.

The role follows a hybrid set-up. Being based in Stockholm is a plus, as you'd be welcome to join us regularly at our office.

What you'll do:

• Create compelling content across channels. Write original copy for websites, blogs, landing pages, paid digital ads, email campaigns, brochures and other marketing materials.
• Manage content through to publication. Upload, format, proofread and publish content directly in our CMS, ensuring accuracy, consistency and a high standard of presentation.
• Bring ideas to life. Develop creative concepts, headlines, hooks, taglines and messaging that make Aira stand out and communicate the value of clean energy in an accessible way.
• Tell stories that resonate. Turn complex topics such as heat pumps, energy savings and home energy solutions into clear, engaging and relevant content for homeowners.
• Support campaigns and launches. Create persuasive copy for new products, seasonal campaigns, promotions and other marketing initiatives, adapting messaging to each channel and audience.
• Develop and maintain our brand voice. Ensure our communication feels consistent, distinctive and human across touchpoints, while adapting tone and messaging to different contexts.
• Make content work harder. Use audience insights, SEO recommendations and performance data to refine messaging, improve engagement and support conversion.

What you'll bring to the role:

• Native-level English, with excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
• A strong portfolio showcasing a range of writing formats, such as website copy, blog articles, digital advertising, landing pages, email campaigns and brand or product communications.
• An understanding of SEO fundamentals and the ability to incorporate keyword and content recommendations naturally into your writing.
• Experience working with CMS platforms, ideally a headless CMS such as Strapi, including uploading, formatting and publishing content.
• A strong sense of storytelling, tone of voice and audience engagement, with the ability to adapt your writing to different channels and objectives.
• The ability to write both creatively and commercially, balancing original ideas with clear messaging and persuasive calls to action.
• A talent for simplifying complex or technical subjects without losing accuracy, clarity or personality.
• Experience writing marketing content that supports brand awareness, customer engagement and conversion.
• Familiarity with digital content formats and the ability to adapt copy to different placements, audiences and character limits across platforms such as Google Ads and Meta.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple briefs, priorities and deadlines independently in a freelance set-up.
• Based in Stockholm, with the legal right to work in Sweden.

It would be a bonus if you:

• Have experience in the energy, sustainability, home improvement or HVAC sectors.
• Have experience writing UX copy for websites and digital experiences, including buttons, forms, navigation and microcopy.
• Have experience using content performance insights or analytics tools such as GA4 and Google Search Console to inform creative decisions.
• Are familiar with SEO tools such as Semrush or Ahrefs.
• Understand how content is discovered through search engines and AI-powered search experiences.
• Have working knowledge of Figma or experience collaborating with designers.
• Have experience writing for international brands across multiple European markets.
