Description

We are seeking a Senior Expert in Software Deployment & Connectivity with extensive experience in automotive software download, connectivity, and uptime services across both onboard and offboard systems.

The successful candidate will play a key role in defining end-to-end software deployment solutions, working closely with architects, development teams, production, and aftermarket stakeholders. The role requires a strong technical background, the ability to operate effectively in complex and uncertain environments, and proven experience in driving technical concepts through governance and decision-making forums.

As a senior expert, you will be recognized as a subject-matter expert within your discipline and will be expected to provide technical leadership, guidance, and support to both the team and key stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automotive Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 12+ years of relevant professional experience, typically at a Senior Expert level or equivalent.
• Strong and proven expertise in Remote Software Download / Software Updates Over The Air (OTA).
• Extensive knowledge of connectivity services and functions within automotive systems.
• Strong understanding of both onboard and offboard systems involved in software deployment and connectivity.
• Experience working with end-to-end software deployment architectures and solutions.
• Proven ability to analyze complex requirements and translate them into technical concepts and architectural solutions.
• Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders across development, production, and aftermarket organizations.
• Strong experience presenting and defending technical concepts in governance and decision-making forums.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly when working with incomplete or uncertain information.
• Strong documentation skills, including experience maintaining technical concepts, architectural documentation, and decision logs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently while also being an effective team player.
• Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and commitment to delivering agreed outcomes.

Job responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise in software download, connectivity, and uptime services, covering both onboard and offboard systems.
• Collaborate with architects and technical teams to define end-to-end software deployment and remote software update solutions.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable and robust technical concepts.
• Work closely with stakeholders across Production, Aftermarket, and Software Development to understand requirements and identify appropriate solutions.
• Break down complex requirements into clear technical requirements, concepts, and architectural solutions.
• Lead technical discussions and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align on proposed solutions.
• Present and anchor technical concepts at relevant governance forums to obtain alignment and approval.
• Take ownership and accountability for assigned tasks and deliverables, ensuring execution according to agreed plans and directives.
• Apply extensive technical knowledge and experience to analyze and resolve challenges in areas involving uncertainty or incomplete information.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and provide guidance to other architects and technical specialists.
• Document technical concepts, architectural decisions, assumptions, and decision logs to ensure traceability and support future reference.
• Proactively identify technical risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities related to software deployment and connectivity.
• Support the continuous development and improvement of software deployment processes, services, and architectural solutions.
