Electronics Design Engineer

Aliant is looking for an experienced Electronics Design Engineer for an exciting consulting assignment with an innovative technology company developing advanced electronic products.

This is a hands-on role where you will be involved throughout the entire hardware development lifecycle, working closely with cross-functional teams to bring new products from concept to production.

About the role

As an Electronics Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality electronic hardware for new products. You will collaborate closely with firmware, mechanical and test engineers to ensure robust, reliable and manufacturable solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop electronic circuits (analog, digital, and mixed signal).
• Create and review schematics and PCB designs.
• Select electronic components based on performance, cost, availability, and reliability.
• Develop prototypes and support hardware bring up and debugging.
• Integrate sensors, microcontrollers, communication interfaces, and power management circuits.
• Ensure designs comply with standards such as EMC, CE and FCC requirements.
• Collaborate with firmware, mechanical and test engineers throughout the product development process.
• Evaluate new technologies and components for future product development.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes

We believe you have

• Several years of experience in electronic hardware design.
• Strong knowledge of analog, digital and mixed-signal circuit design.
• Experience creating schematics and PCB designs.
• Experience with hardware prototyping, debugging and verification.
• Good understanding of sensors, microcontrollers, communication interfaces and power electronics.
• Experience working with EMC and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams.
• A structured, analytical and solution-oriented mindset.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
