Role Summary

Are you an engineer with a passion for vehicle technology, diagnostics, and problem-solving? We are expanding our TGROSVM team within E-Mobility Diagnostics (Vehicle Service Information) and are looking for a Diagnostics Developer to help shape the future of diagnostic and troubleshooting solutions for TRATON's electrified vehicles.

In this role, you will work closely with system and function owners to develop, implement, and continuously improve diagnostic methods and service support. Acting as the voice of workshop technicians in development projects, you will ensure that serviceability and troubleshooting needs are integrated throughout the development process. Your work will directly impact workshop efficiency, vehicle uptime, and the customer experience.

As part of our journey towards digitalized service solutions, you will also contribute to the development of Scania Workshop Suite, our cloud-based troubleshooting platform. Working alongside system developers and cross-functional stakeholders, you will play a key role in taking diagnostic support for electrified vehicles to the next level.

Job Responsibilities

• Developing, implementing, and validating diagnostic and troubleshooting methods for electrified vehicle systems, testing solutions on both rigs and vehicles.
• Acting as the voice of workshop technicians throughout development projects, providing requirements and valuable input across all project phases to ensure serviceability and effective fault diagnosis.
• Collaborating closely with system owners, function owners, and internal software development teams to improve diagnostic support and digital service tools based on customer and project needs.
• Contributing to the continuous development of cloud-based troubleshooting solutions, helping enhance workshop efficiency and customer uptime.

Who You Are

To thrive in this role, you are a curious and solution-oriented engineer with a passion for technology, diagnostics, and vehicle systems. You enjoy solving complex technical challenges and collaborating across functions to develop practical solutions that create value for both customers and service organizations.

You are proactive, structured, and able to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities simultaneously. With strong communication and networking skills, you build productive relationships and effectively translate technical information into actionable diagnostic and troubleshooting support.

Qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Few years of relevant experience (ideally 2+ years) within system development, vehicle systems, diagnostics, or a similar engineering discipline.
• Experience with programming and/or software-supported development environments.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken. Knowledge of additional languages, particularly Swedish, is considered an advantage.
• Valid Category B driver's license.
• Experience with electrified vehicles, high-voltage systems, or e-mobility solutions is considered an advantage.
