DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER - HEAT PUMP SYSTEMS

Do you have a passion for heat pump technology, thermodynamics, and developing innovative products? If so, this could be an opportunity for you.

We are looking for a Development Engineer to join our R&D team and contribute to the development of next-generation heat pump technology for tumble dryers. In this role, you will be driving testing, verification, and performance improvements to ensure quality, functionality, and reliability before products reach the market.

In this role, you will be a key player in shaping the next generation of sustainable energy solutions.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

As a Development Engineer for the heat pump systems, your main responsibility is to plan, execute, and evaluate tests on heat pump systems and drying technologies. You will analyze performance data, identify improvement opportunities, troubleshoot technical issues, and contribute to the development of innovative and sustainable solutions.

Other responsibilities:
  • Investigate issues, identify root causes, and recommend improvements.
  • Contribute to the optimization and continuous improvement of heat pump-based products.
  • Verify new technical solutions and concepts.
  • Document test results and communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Work with measurement equipment, data acquisition systems, and validation methods.
  • Participate in development projects together with design and systems engineers.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues in R&D, software development, electronics, production, laboratory operations, etc.
  • Ensure products meet requirements for quality, functionality, and reliability.

WHAT'S NEEDED FOR YOU TO THRIVE

To succeed in this role, we would like to see that you have genuine interest and passion for working with heat pumps. We believe that you have worked as a Development Engineer, Test Engineer, Verification Engineer, or R&D Engineer within heat pumps, refrigeration systems, HVAC, or related technical fields. You have several years of hands-on experience testing thermodynamic systems and enjoy working closely to the product to solve technical challenges and drive improvements.

As a person, you are a proactive and analytical engineer with a strong drive to understand complex systems and turn insights into practical solutions. You take initiative, challenge the status quo, and use data-driven analysis to identify opportunities that enhance product quality, performance, and reliability.

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Thermodynamics, Refrigeration Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Hands-on experience with heat pumps, refrigeration systems, HVAC, or similar thermal systems, combined with a strong understanding of thermodynamics and heat pump processes.
  • Experience from a laboratory, testing, verification, or product development environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Advantageous qualifications:
  • Experience developing white goods, heat pumps, refrigeration products, or HVAC systems.
  • Experience with data acquisition systems and simulation tools.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming, automation, control systems, or electrical systems.
  • Swedish language skills.

To be eligible for this role, you must already have the legal right to work in Sweden. We are unable to offer work permit sponsorship.

OUR GUIDING PRINCIPLES
Be Customer Obsessed. Build Trust. Be Bold. Act Sustainably. We're building it every day - and we'd love your help.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU

Join a company where innovation, sustainability, and engineering excellence go hand in hand. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work with advanced heat pump technology, contribute to products that reduce energy consumption, and see your ideas translated into real-world solutions.

You'll be trusted with responsibility from day one and become part of a collaborative team where knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and personal growth are highly valued.
