About the role
As a Cybersecurity Specialist at SEB Life, you will be the critical link between people, processes, and technology, ensuring that cybersecurity is woven into the company's fabric. You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders from business units, IT, risk, compliance, legal, and external partners to maintain a robust cybersecurity posture. Your work will be guided by a clear understanding of the evolving threat landscape and other identified risks to ensure adequate cybersecurity, protect the company's assets, and support its business objectives. You will be the nexus of continuous cybersecurity improvements in the ISMS, driving operational excellence and strategic security initiatives.
The dynamic team of talented colleagues will support you in your instrumental role in evolving our security capabilities to meet future challenges and capture opportunities.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Coordinate and support cybersecurity initiatives as the central point of contact for cybersecurity matters, working closely with IT, development teams, and business units to ensure cybersecurity best practices are integrated into all systems and operations.
· Support and guide the secure development of systems, applications, and processes, ensuring security is built into every development lifecycle phase.
· Drive and conduct comprehensive risk assessments and provide recommendations on managing identified risks regarding systems and operations.
· Assess and manage cybersecurity associated with third-party vendors, ensuring that partners comply with our security standards and practices.
· Cyber threat intelligence, incident management and cybersecurity collaboration both within SEB and with external stakeholders.
· Develop, implement, monitor, and enforce cybersecurity policies and procedures in alignment with industry regulations and standards. Ensure ongoing compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
· Promote cybersecurity awareness across the organization, delivering training and guidance to employees to foster a healthy security culture.
To thrive in this role, we believe you have:
· Proven experience in IT security, information security, and cybersecurity, with a strong understanding of the financial services sector.
· Demonstrated ability to coordinate cybersecurity initiatives across various teams and departments.
· Experience with secure system development and integrating security into IT project lifecycles.
· Strong knowledge of risk management practices, including conducting risk assessments and managing third-party risks.
· Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to cybersecurity (e.g., ISO 27001/2, CIS 18, NIST CSF, DORA, and GDPR).
· Excellent communication (Swedish and English) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
· Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, and SSCP are highly desirable.
