Credit Risk Management & Performance Analyst

About the Role

We are looking for an analyst with strong business capabilities to join our team. This is a hands-on role at the intersection of data analysis and business decision-making. You will analyse our performing credit portfolios, evaluate and improve pre-collection activities, and provide analytical support for portfolio sales and transactions across our markets.

You will work with everything from SQL-based data analysis and performance monitoring to presenting clear recommendations to business owners and management. We are looking for someone who does not stop at explaining what happened, but can identify why it happened and what we should do next.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse the performance of performing credit portfolios, including payment behaviour, early delinquency, roll rates, vintages, customer segments and profitability
• Identify emerging risks and opportunities and translate findings into concrete business recommendations
• Measure and improve pre-collection strategies, including customer selection, contact channels, treatment strategies, vendor performance and cure rates
• Design and evaluate tests to determine the incremental impact of pre-collection initiatives
• Develop robust SQL analyses, datasets and recurring performance reporting
• Support portfolio sales and forward-flow transactions through portfolio segmentation, data-tape preparation, cash-flow and pricing analyses, due diligence and post-sale performance monitoring
• Ensure strong data quality, consistent definitions and clear documentation
• Present findings in a concise and commercially relevant way to business stakeholders, committees and management
• Collaborate with colleagues across Credit Risk, Collections, Finance, Commercial & Data as well as country teams and external partners

Qualifications and Experience

• Strong SQL skills and experience working with large and complex datasets
• A relevant academic background in finance, economics, statistics, mathematics, data science or a similar quantitative field
• Experience within credit risk, portfolio analytics, consumer finance, collections or another data-driven financial environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with commercial judgement
• Ability to turn complex analyses into clear conclusions and practical recommendations
• A structured and independent working style, with strong attention to data quality and detail
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with both technical and business stakeholders
• Professional proficiency in English
• Experience with Power BI, advanced Excel, pre-collection, portfolio sales or debt-purchase transactions is a plus
