About the position
Perido are looking for an experienced Business Controller for our client, a world-leading supplier of transport solutions and together with partners and customers, they are driving the transition to a sustainable transport system. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain a broad understanding of project-driven business operations and collaborate closely with stakeholders across engineering, sales, purchasing, production, and finance. The position is located at the company's headquarters in Södertälje. You are expected to be minimum 3 days on site.

Your daily tasks
As a Project Controller, you will play a key role in supporting and steering a portfolio of both product development projects and customer-related business projects. Acting as a finance business partner and trusted advisor to project managers and management teams, you will ensure transparency, financial control, and informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, forecasting, and follow-up for a portfolio of product development and customer projects
• Monitor project performance, identify risks and opportunities, and proactively support corrective actions
• Analyze project profitability, business cases, and investment proposals throughout the project lifecycle
• Support project managers and department leadership with financial insights and performance analyses
• Develop and maintain project financial reporting, including budget tracking, resource utilization, and cost development
• Prepare decision material and presentations for management teams and governance forums
• Ensure financial transparency and support fact-based decision-making regarding project priorities and investments
• Perform ad hoc analyses related to project performance, portfolio management, and business development initiatives
• Drive continuous improvement of project controlling processes, tools, and reporting methods
• Success in this role requires close collaboration with stakeholders across multiple functions and the ability to communicate financial information in a clear and business-oriented manner

Qualifications:

• A university degree in Finance, Business Administration, Industrial Economics, Engineering, or a related field
• Experience in controlling, financial analysis, project controlling, business controlling, or project management support
• Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to understand technical, commercial, and financial drivers
• Experience working with budgets, forecasts, business cases, and financial reporting
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, enabling you to explain financial matters to non-financial stakeholders
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to build strong relationships across functions and organizational levels
• Professional proficiency in English

Advantageous:

• Experience from product development, industrial operations, manufacturing, or customer project environments
• Fluency in Swedish

Contract type and hours
Full-time consulting assignment until 2028-09-21. Start asap.
