Do you want to play a key role in shaping the next generation of Scania buses? We are now adding a new role and looking for a Body Adaptability Property Owner to join our Body Builder Cooperation team. In this role, you will help drive development projects together with both our internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that complete buses are delivered with excellence and efficiency.About the Role
As a Body Adaptability Property Owner, you will lead projects in an agile organization, working closely with line organizations, cross-functional teams, and international bus body builder partners. Your main focus will be to transform all BB knowledge into targets to be shared with our designers for Scania to secure smooth cooperation between Scania's chassis development and our body builder partners, in order to ensuring complete vehicle delivery.
Key Responsibilities
• Deep understanding of the BB Process, Requires leadership/authority level expertise, with ample and in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge of the bus construction process (body and chassis structure/function - with recognized authority), which facilitates the identification of risk factors in the development of new projects.
• Excellent knowledge and perception of developments and trends in bus construction (business, processes, technologies) obtaining a long-term vision, but always acting in the present.
• Proactive: acting as a "business owner".
• Ability to transmit information effectively (present new demands/ideas appropriately and clearly). Requires influencing partners (internal and external) through informal leadership, inspiration, and motivation.
• Teamwork: Working collaboratively with others (internal and external) to achieve a common goal, understanding their needs, coordinating and integrating various resources across departments/companies and functions.

• Ample contacts network with in Scania and with bodybuilders in the areas of design/production/market/certification/purchasing/etc.
• Ensures verification/validation of targets before project milestones
• Develops methods and quantitative metrics for target setting.
• Builds experience and competence about customer needs in Bus Body Adaptability
• The role is cross-functional, covering the complete vehicle and all components.
• Delivers quantified targets for Bus Body Adaptability at the start of development projects, ensuring alignment with product property targets and design areas.
• Supports the Product Property Manager with expertise.
• Leads long-term development, focusing on Scania's product properties and fostering cross-functional collaboration
• You have possibility to travel. As a first stage we see travelling as important, later in your role your capacity to influence the organization will be more critical
• Ability to communicate with different stakeholders and also ability to be body builder voice at Scania

Requirements
• University or civil engineering degree, or equivalent.
• Speaks fluent English and has as well understanding of Spanish and/or Portuguese. Any other language is a merit
• Proven experience with bus chassis development (min 10 years)
• Proven experience with bus body development (min 2 years) either form development or production
• Proven record of understanding body building process
• Proven experience in the leadership role (at least 2 years)
• Ability to identify the risks in the development phase of development project and pro-actively mitigate them
• Proven excellence in the development trends in bus construction (business, process, technologies
• Ability to form vision and long-term strategies based on the needs and trends in the bus construction field
• Proven records of strong communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across functions and organizations to secure that complete bus is delivered with excellence and efficiency
• Possibility to travel 25% of the time, making sure you educate our BB partner primarily in the BBM knowledge as well as BBMQA
