The Role
Are you a backend engineer who thrives at the intersection of software development and cloud platform operations? Do you take pride in designing robust systems, automating deployment pipelines, and running scalable infrastructure? Do you use AI tools to supercharge your work?

We're looking for a Backend & Platform Engineer - someone equally comfortable building backend services and maintaining modern, automated, cloud-based platforms. Someone with experience in designing, building, and operating scalable SaaS products with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and containerized environments at the core.

What You'll Do

• Own the full development lifecycle: from ideation and design to coding, testing, deployment, and operations.
• Build backend services and APIs using Python and Django.
• Design, operate, and optimize infrastructure in AWS, using both managed services and cloud-agnostic tools.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure fast, reliable releases
• Manage infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Work with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes, or similar) for deployment and scaling.
• Monitor and optimize platform performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and product managers to create innovative solutions.
• Leverage AI tools daily to accelerate development, automate workflows, troubleshoot issues, and learn new skills.

What You Bring

• Backend Development: Proven experience in backend engineering with Python, ideally Django.
• Databases: Skilled with both relational and non-relational databases; able to write efficient SQL queries.
• AWS Expertise: Solid experience designing, deploying, and maintaining solutions in AWS.
• CI/CD Mastery: Hands-on experience setting up and maintaining modern continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
• Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar tools.
• Containers & Orchestration: Strong experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes in production environments.
• AI Fluency: You integrate AI-assisted coding, infrastructure automation, or other AI-powered tools into your daily workflow.
• Mindset: Collaborative, curious, and eager to learn.
